I was originally combat support, a small arms repairman. That was before I was asked to go to Officer’s school and eventually to the Infantry. I sometimes joke about non combat jobs, but all jobs are important. The entire machine needs to work to be a effective military. Always be proud of your service, no matter what. You cooking a hot meal might have cheered someone up who was bottoming out.
